Project Overview
We worked closely with the design team from early conception through to completion on the £80 million Leeds School of Arts project, located in the heart of Leeds. The building supports music, sound, film, and performing arts students, featuring world-class facilities such as studios, theatres, and cinemas.
Our Role in the Project
We provided expert acoustic consultancy throughout this complex project. Our key contributions included:
- Acoustic Design for Diverse Spaces: Tailoring sound solutions for TV and film studios, foley studios, music rehearsal spaces, and editing suites.
- Sound Isolation: Ensuring optimal isolation between high-noise generating areas and noise-sensitive spaces.
- Custom Acoustic Solutions: Designing the acoustics for the 180-seat performance theatre and 220-seat Dolby Atmos cinema.
- Noise Control in Complex Environments: Managing site constraints and minimizing noise disturbance between adjacent spaces.
